      Disposition:
      • Coward - When Iren feels like she is in physical danger, her first reaction is GENERALLY to flee or escape, or to try to negotiate or bargain. She finds violence unnerving, and won't resort to trying to physically defend herself unless ALL other options she can think of have already been exhausted. Of course, these are general trends. Sometimes even the biggest coward will stand up for themselves when no one expects them to, least of all themself. In the right situation Iren CAN work up the courage to fight back, but it's rare.
      • Entrepreneur - Iren runs her own business and has for years. She's organized, practical minded, and generally is on the lookout for anything she can do to increase her profits. While she is focusing on her business she is a ruthless negotiator and more likely to overcome her inherently cowardly nature. Years of figuring out how to deal with interdimensional currency exchange have made her a creative accountant, as well.
      • Optimist - Whatever is happening to her, Iren always looks for the silver lining. Sure, she may be on a potentially endless quest to travel the multiverse and fix a terrible wrong that was her fault, but the multiverse is also full of fun and exciting things to do and try. Iren does her best to treat this endless quest as a sort of sight seeing tour, and will generally go out of her way to find interesting things to try out. She believes that the purpose of life is to enjoy yourself as much as you can, and to help other people do the same.
      • Responsible - Whatever else her failings, Iren always tries to make things right in the end. It bothers her when someone else has to deal with hardship because she fucked something up, and even if it takes her a while she will go out of her way to try to undo any damage she causes. That is why she is on this endless quest. She left her fellow mages to fight a demon while she ran away to save her own skin, and as a result was the only one who wasn't banished to another dimension, so by god she is going to go and find them all and bring them home.
      • Independent - Iren's parents were supportive enough, in their own way, but they were kind of distant and she found herself having to figure things out on her own a lot growing up. She's taken this to heart, and is often reluctant to seek help from others unless she really needs it. She plays things close to the vest, keeps her own counsel, and doesn't share her plans with others until it's time to act on them. It's not any kind of urge for secrecy that makes her act like this, she just figures that other people wouldn't care about her business unless if effects them directly, and doesn't bother them with it.


      Suitability: Iren views her inn as almost like part of her body at this point, and to lose all of that suddenly will be a real nasty shock, but not one she can't ultimately overcome. On the other hand, she is a veteran world hopper already. Finding herself in a strange new world full of new customs to learn and strange creatures to encounter is just, like, an average Tuesday for her. And while she's not exactly overflowing with libido, she certainly isn't against intimacy or sex. So, initially terrified, but ultimately she'll adapt quickly.

      Condition upon arrival: Healthy

      Abilities:
      • Aura - Iren has a sort of zone around her that extends out about six meters. In this zone, Iren can use magic. She can compress her aura to a smaller area in exchange for having more power and control, or she can expand it a few meters further at the cost of having LESS power and control. Other mages generally have their own auras that will push hers back. In a fight, it's as much a battle to push back your opponents aura as it is to actually cast spells on them. Iren doesn't like fighting, though, so this probably won't come up.
      • Lesser Magic - Iren constantly absorbs ambient energy out of the world around her and converts it into magical force that she can use to do stuff within her aura. Iren's magic is specialized in spatial warping. She can fold space to bring two points closer together or stretch it to make two points further apart, she can make spatial pockets that are bigger on the inside than the outside (think bag of holding), and even teleport. All this is, of course, limited to within the current range of her aura. She often does this for extra storage space in her pockets, or to make doors and windows not open up to where you expect them to.
      • Soulfusing - or "Greater magic". Soulfusing involves infusing little bits of her soul into nearby objects. Once infused, the object can be directly controlled by Iren mentally (she can make doors open or close, lights turn on or off, chairs and tables walk around, and so forth) and they have their own small Aura around them that she can use magic in. Using up entire soul this way won't kill her, but it will destroy her ability to use lesser magic and leave her feeling apathetic, depressed, and lethargic until it recovers, which takes weeks.
      • Soul return - If Iren soulfuses something, then lets her soul recover naturally over time, she can still reclaim the energy in the item for a temporary boost in power. Holding more than the normal amount of soul energy in you is unstable, and it will generally degrade until she's back to her normal maximum (which usually takes between ten minutes to an hour, depending on how much), but during that time she's extra powerful.
      • The Laughing Toadstool - Iren owns an inn, named the Laughing Toadstool, and has soulfused everything in it. The furniture, the kitchenware, the lights, even all the walls, floors, and ceilings. From foundation to rooftop. When she originally had it built, she mixed some of her blood in with the cement that forms the foundation, creating a bond between it and her. As long as she's in the same universe as the Toadstool, Iren has a vague awareness of everything happening within it. As long as she's nearby, she can open and close any of the windows or doors, rearrange the furniture, change the exterior appearance of the building, or even rearrange the floor plan.
      • Shifting - The Laughing Toadstool is more than just a tavern or a mage's sanctum. It holds a captive demon in the attic which powers an enormous magical machine spread throughout the whole building that allows Iren to move the herself and everything or everyone in it anywhere she pleases. Normally, she can even use it to travel to other dimensions, but obviously in a jamjar game like Noctium, she would be limited to this dimension. Takes a few days to recharge.


      Inventory: The clothes on her back. All her clothes are soulfused.

      Notes: Iren's gimmick, per se, is that she has a magical inn made entirely of soulfused materials that lets her jump from world to world. Obviously, she won't have it when she arrives here, but she will hopefully eventually figure out how to summon it to this world, once she has enough activity proofs to get a business license.
